It was better on that otherwise useless Nikon. It's better on my Samsung Galaxy mobile telephone. It was better on a much cheaper Canon I bought in 2010.

I download pictures via USB, and will eventually buy a remote shutter control. If the video is wonderful, the audio is utter crap. Ignore this moan. The wireless settings are too fiddly to bother with. I may one day find it useful.Battery life could be better, but it's good enough - especially if you buy a spare and keep one charged. Here is what I don't much life about it:It's rather big and heavy - mind you, I was aware of that before I bought it, so can't complain. Indeed, I can't see much difference at the higher settings which I always use. I don't much use this, and find jpegs quite good enough for my purposes. Do that, and you'll get the best out of the camera. It shoots in RAW as well as JPG. But long experience has finally convinced me of the wisdom to RTFM with any new piece of electro-junk.

The manual settings do everything else. The settings are mostly easy to use. The automatic setting does nearly everything I want. Focussing and colour balance are always perfect. 12mp doesn't sound much nowadays, but I think it's the 1.5 inch sensor that counts. So, having used Canon cameras for many years, I looked round for something better. Here are the good things about this camera:The pictures are absolutely lush. Nothing was ever quite in focus, and the colour balance was a mess.

It cost £120 and was a rather pretty heap of junk. Last year, in a fit of perceived wealth, I bought a Nikon Coolpix A10. I know people like to talk on and on about features, settings, sensors, handle-ability, etc, but the bottom line for any camera is 'Does it take excellent photos?' and yes, this one does. They look like the results of a much more expensive camera.I'm not a camera or photography expert, but I do know quality photos when I see them, and I love this camera. And I'm glad I did! Even just point-and-shoot snapshots turn out brilliantly. Ok, it was used, which made be a bit hesitant, and that price was already more than I could afford to spend, but it was sold and distributed by Amazon, so I took my chances. I did a lot of research and realised that I was doomed, because I was going to have to pay more like £600-£800 for a decent mid-range camera. Then I came across this camera for £385. I was hoping to find a decent camera for about £200-£250. My budget was quite low (as it always is with me). I wanted to take some last photos, and of course I wanted a reasonably good camera. It also takes video, which my last camera didn't do.My mother was ill and dying and I needed to go home. It's built well, take good low-light pics, and the battery life is pretty good. I'm pleased with myself that I thought to look there, because this camera takes really good photos. I found this camera used in Amazon Warehouse.
